Your Point of View: How does it reflect you in your camera?

Today I went outside during the golden hour, just in my front yard which is vast when you change your point of view from standing to laying in the grass. This is what this post is about, point of view. A few times in the past year I've found myself stuck in the same point of view in my sessions with families, newborns, and children that I've taken photos of. I then figured out if I just take time to myself once in a while and change my point of view it gives a sense of time stopping. These photos will help remind me that changing your point of view now and then, can and will reflect yourself better in your camera, in the images you take. Whether from laying in the grass, climbing a tree or a ladder, to squatting or even standing on your car (which I have done!)! I hope you enjoy the photos. If you have any questions just let me know. Have a great evening everyone! :)

The photos below happen to be of my cute kitty Molly. Jungle kitty in all that tall grass. :)

Easter family sessions this year went great! I love photographing families and this particular family I actually went to high school with the mom! Brings back memories of lunch time and bustling from one class to another, fighting with the dress code. We all had a great time and I had wonderful time editing these photos! Such a photogenic family! :)

 Aren't they adorable!?

Love the light!! :)

cupcakes, bubbles and apples

I would have to say I photograph children more than any other subject out of the year I have had my business. I suppose that implies I specialize in child photography and I have to say I love that I get that label. I enjoy being around children because of the little things, the way they laugh, they way the give love, their sweetness even if its a tad mischievous, and of course those funny faces. I know there are plenty of reasons I could name that would make you smile just to remember, but I'll go ahead and post some of the fun I had with Miss K the other day. She's such a sweetheart! :)

Have a fabulous weekend!!! :)
In life you often meet people that make you smile in your heart every time you hear their voice, think of them or see them. I have photographed this sweet little baby since she was only a few weeks old and I also have the privilege to babysit her and her sister. So grateful to not only have her family as clients but as friends, such a loving and sweet family. Here are a few photos from her six month session. :)

Hope you enjoyed this blog post! More to come soon!! Have a great weekend!!

Three months and a Tutu!

My sweet friend and her darling baby girl did wonderfully at little miss "A's" three month session. Honestly I can't believe it's take me this long to post her session! :) I do tend to be a bit on the late side when it comes to this blog but I'm going to try and do better! Here's a few from the session. :)

Look at those eyelashes!!! Gorgeous!

A look of surprise, maybe? Or maybe she was about to laugh. :) So sweet!

Mommy and me photos! Some of favorite for sure! I have so much taking photos and spending time with this two wonderful ladies. Can't wait for her six month photos! Defiantly going to try some outside the next go round! :)

Frosting, Balloons and Smiles

I first photographed this sweet little boy when he was three months old! He is now turning one and I had the privilege to photograph him again. He oooed and ahhhed over the balloons. He rocked some sweet smiles and talked up a storm telling me all about his day. ;)

He did so well sitting on his little red chair like a big boy!

I absolutely fell in love with this photo in black and white! It's gorgeous, at first I couldn't decide if color would hold up so I changed the setting and boy was I surprised how stunning the black and white turned out! AMAZING!

Look at that face! Cutest cutie pie EVER!!

BALLOONS!! He got so excited about the balloons. We almost didn't get to have the balloons the wind was against us but we managed through it and got quite a few awesome shots. I really love this one with all the ribbons blowing in the breeze and the viewpoint is really nice. :)

Cake time! He couldn't wait to get his hands into that cake. Frosting and cake crumbs everywhere, he had a blast!

Sweet feet and frosting! Happy Birthday sweet boy!

Every photo session I get to be apart is one more experience as a photographer that I live for! I love my job! :)
